This is my Runescape blog! Just silly little updates on what I've been doing. Mostly just updates on skilling, complaints, achievements and other stuff. I will try to keep it updated as I play.

I'm having so much fun, I really feel like my account is proggressing quicky. I got all my stats and the right quests up to do Recipe for Disaster, which is a really really long quest chain with some kinda high requirments but I did it! I got my Barrows Gloves which will be BIS for a while. Honestly I was worried that the final fights would be hard, but they aren't really waves since you can leave to resupply and change gear after each fight, I think I was kinda overgeared for it too. I also got my Dragon Defender! Pretty soon after I wrote my last post. Killing the Cyclops in the Warrior Guild was actually pretty fun and I had really good RNG on the drops it seems like, it didn't take that long. I've been working on unlocking all the spellbooks, I wanted to get Lunar spellbook done for all the utility spells and I got it a few days ago! I just need a few more levels for Plank Make so I can start working on Construction seriously and making GP lmao. I love the NPC contact so I don't have to go to Zanaris for Slayer tasks (The upgraded Dramen Staff to Lunar Staff is chefs kiss though) I will say some of these higher level quests do take a really long time to finish. I did Desert Treasure I for the Ancient Spellbook since that was a pre-requisite quest for Recipe for Disaster and holy shit that took forever, first of all it's kinda annoying going to the desert area because you have to bring water with you or you will overheat so that already takes up inventory space and that quest had like a ton of items needed. Then it takes you to the top of the map to the frozen Troll area where there is a lot of Agility checks and when they trolls do damage they drain your stats so like you cant cast the spells you brought runes for and the frost just does passive damage to you. Oh well, its done >:) They removed the Hosidus favor mechanic too from Kourend and everyone just gets the Arceuus Spellbook unlocked by default so like?? Thats all of them! I have them all finally unlocked! I started dabbling in the minigames which I've been mostly ignoring up until now lol. Pest control is really easy and kinda fun, you just kill stuff to level combat and unlock the Void set which I'm working on. Wintertodt is easy as shit but I didnt get the frost mechanic at first and ended up freezing to death my first game (embarassing) until I realized you... make the potions too??? The XP is super fast though. And I didn't get Guardians of the Rift but holy shit its fun. It's super fast paced and I finally got my Agility high enough to go mine the big rune rocks. So far I've gotten most of my Runecrafting XP from it and I just got enough levels for Law runes which is huge, I spend so many of them teleporting around the map so it will save a bit of GP. Next is to start doing Tempoross. My next HUGE goal I'm about to start working towards is hitting 60 (then 70 because I'm almost there) in all non combat skills. As of today all thats left is Runecrafting (54) Smithing (57) Theiving (56) and Construction (46) ;_; and getting the Fire Cape!!!

I have actually been going really hard in the scape. Since I resubbed a few days ago I've started doing herb runs which actually aren't as bad as I was thinking they'd be. Seeds are expensive but one seed gives multiple herbs so its actually a really nice money maker. Currently my farming is only at 39 but I think it will go up fast since herbs grow so quickly. I bought an Abyssal Whip off the Grand Exchange. It was actually pretty cheap, only a million and some change GP. Runescapes gold is so "inflated" that a million really isn't a lot at all. You can flip that with High Alchemy on some Dragon Full Helms and making gemmed bracers with Crafting in a few hours. What I have really spent most of this time doing is AFKing the freaking crabs. I started on the beach south of Tithe Farm with the sand crabs but I started killing them too fast and moved on the the Ammonite crabs in Fossil Island. I will say theres so many people who try to grind here so there is some competition for afk spots lol. I went from my combat/magic/ranged stats all being in the 50s to now 60 with attack at 70!!! I can finally use the whip and start the grind for the Dragon defender. Oh yeah, and I'm wearing the Bandos chestplate cus i got my defense to 65. I've just had OSRS open on my computer, phone or ipad while doing other stuff lmao and autoattacking crabs. All that matters is I got my upgrades! Got the Bandos, got the whip. Enough of this stupid Rune Shield, it's time for Dragon Defender >:)

RESUBBED AGAIN! I've been neglecting this blog and I need to finish my skilling guides. I'm gonna try to work on that. I can't believe jagex increased the sub price again.... It's crazy that a 2001 medieval cookie clicker java applet costs more than FFXIV at this point. This is why I buy gametime cards off G2G hehehe. I get so distracted doing one thing for too long in game, I need to dedicate myself to a money maker so I can afford bonds. I think once I level up a bit it will get easier cus I can farm for more expensive shit but there is definitely some good low level money makers. I haven't played OSRS in a few months cus I've been playing Turtle WoW and logging back in I remembered the last time I played, I bought 2m worth of Dragon Bones of the Grand Exchange and took them to the wilderness alter to level my Prayer skill and I went to a world with almost no one on it, I left all my gear in the bank thankfully but I got sniped by a PKer. I guess they were just hopping worlds hoping to get lucky. I ended up giving up on that and going to world 1176, the house party world and just praying at someones house with the alter. It's lower rates I'm pretty sure but no risk lol. I have a Bandos chestplate sitting in my bank I got from a kind players drop party, I just need to get my defense up to be able to wear it. Currently as of today I'm at 56 and I need 65 so I'm close! I'm just leveling Slayer in the meantime to get it up. That is my immediate goal. Next goal after that is to get my Magic up so I can start Lunar Diplomacy. Oh yeah, I need to go check out Varlamore too. I've only wandered around a bit outside the main city there but I've read about how they've added a ton of midgame content which is kinda where I'm getting close to. For some reason Farming is so tedious to me, people make herb runs seems so chill but the whole gameplay loop is so clunky to me. Such is the charm of Runescape I guess. I need to level Farming but I've been neglecting it -_- Some day....

I resubscribed to OSRS again after taking a break to play Final Fantasy XIV (the eternal MMORPG hamster wheel heh). My attack is 59 now and I've been grinding Slayer to try to get to 60 to get the Dragon Scimitar. I need to finish Monkey Madness in order to equip it I think??? Even though the Scimitar is cheaper on the Grand Exchange than it is from the vendor lol. I feel like I'm starting to creep into the midgame in a lot of ways, I almost have enough total combat level to go grind out the Dragon Defender which is also a goal. I really really want the Fighter Torso but after watching some videos about Barbarian Assault, it looks kinda intimidating. I dabbled in the new League for a second, it looks cool and I wish I wasn't coming into it so late. The fast XP and the the fact that you can level Agility with permanent run is insane lmfao. I wish it lasted longer. I've been distracted with going hard in the pixel art and super busy IRL. Ahh well, I got enough points for the teleport animation. Jagex put out a massive survey that had some interesting questions, like Old School Runescape having player ran servers like Minecraft or Rust. It would be kinda cool, some of the questions asked about letting players create new skills and areas on their server, I guess like mods? I would play them but I still am kinda iffy tbh because I don't want the vanilla servers to die. This game has so much charm its unreal and letting players take over might make Jagex not update as much or have as high quality in their updates? Maybe I'm just traumatized by modern Mojang lmfaooo. I'm excited for the future of OSRS so many of the planned updates look exciting. Sailing and Varlamore, a whole new continent to explore. I can't wait.

I've been trying to level Herblore. I've been buying Ranarr Weed and Snape Grass and making Prayer Potions. The potions have been selling for a lot on the Grand Exchange and have been my main moneymaker right now. I recently finished the Dig Site quests to unlock Fossil Island. When I first started training hunter I found it to be kind of clunky and frustrating. I was near Feldip Hills hunting the Red Chinchompas and I kinda stopped after I got to like level 15. After unlocking Fossil Island, I love doing the birdhouse runs! I've been getting so much Hunter XP so fast! The birdnests sell for a lot on the Grand Exchange too. I'm sure they're used for something but I don't really care right now, I want the gp. I've been hoarding any Clue Scrolls I find in my bank. I just completed a few today, nothing really great in the reward chests but hopefully it will get better lol. The crocodile Slayer task is probably the most annoying one I've gotten so far. I bring so many water skins to Al Kharid but there is so many crocs I keep having to refill them. My Runecrafting levels are really lacking. Same with mining. I'm gonna start working on those today.
